Bastet is the latest collection from Una Burke, yet again creating wearable art and crafting unique and intriguing fashion in a range of gorgeous leathers.
Inspired by Ancient Egyptians and their burial practices Una looked at mummification and the idea of souls being protected, thus creating bodices symbolising protection of the heart in a armour form. Baset was a Egyptian goddess thought to be a protector over lower Egypt and was used as another form of inspiration, resulting in draped flowing chiffons adding a feminine contrast to the war like body armour. Not only are the garments amazing, we also loved the accessories designed for ss12 ranging from the studded belts and those strap studded cuffs which we wouldn't mind getting our hands on !!
