A beautiful, oriental trend graced the catwalk when Carlotta Actis Barone showed her SS12 collection. Detailed oriental head pieces accompanied flamboyant silhouettes in lilacs, dusky pinks, greens, creams and other soft and vibrant colours. Japanese referencing was clearly seen throughout, obi style waists and geisha sleeves were popular features along with clever origami styled detailing seen on trench coats. Flowing draped dresses were drawn in with twisted rope braid details while trench coats were belted with exaggerated bow details at the back. Doll like geisha make up finshed the looks, along with neatly tied bow buns for a oriental soft feminine look.
